So what do you do? The most asked question at a College Reunion

This year is my 30th college reunion.  Whoa.  When asked, "What do you do?" the expected response is "I'm CEO of a Financial Institute"  or "I'm Vice President of Marketing at a Software company"  or "I've written a book on the Middle East Conflicts."  Each fellow student is looking for something big.

Well, I do none of the above.  What I do is touch people individually with small changes that turn out big for them.   I help people keep their back flexible and strong so there is no loss of quality of life due to a bad back.  I help people get through the dying of a parent by encouraging them to let the universe just take it's own course.   I help people feel sensations in their bodies and remind them that these sensations do not stick around forever. When facing discontentment, whether major or minor, they can find a bit of peace.

This is the essence of being a yoga teacher.

All this is worth so much more than being a big wig at a major company.  And I can feel good about it.
